Please join La Dolce Vita as I lead a wonderful week in la belle Paris. I know Paris and her surrounding areas very well and I am excited to share it with you!
We will be staying at the quintessential 5-star boutique hotel Le Hotel San Regis in the 8th arrondissement. With only 42 perfectly appointed rooms, the San Regis is in the heart of so many wonderful areas to dine and shop—the Champs-Elysees, Avenue Montaigne, the new Restoration Hardware Restaurant, the George V, and the Grand and Petit Palais. It is walking distance to the Louvre, the Place Vendome, the Left Bank, and all of the glorious shopping Paris has to offer. A full breakfast is included every morning for a great start to your busy days.
On your arrival day, we will have a fun, small car, 2 hour tour of Paris.
At the beginning of our week together, we will have a private guide of the Louvre, the world’s most famous museum. Because of the immensity of the Louvre, our guide will hit all the highlights. However, if you have a piece you want to see, please let me know and I will make sure she includes this in her tour. For example, my favorite painting is Madame Recamier, so I always go to see her when I am there. After the Louvre, we will have lunch at Café Marley, then head over to the Musee d’Orsay and Le Orangerie. We will also have a private tour of the amazing Palace of Versailles — a true feast for the senses.
Included in this week are two lunches at iconic Parisian spots and one on our Champagne country tour. A welcome dinner and a farewell dinner are also included. For your free evenings, the San Régis concierge and I will provide a curated list of exceptional dining and entertainment options. You are always welcome to dine with me on those nights too.
On Sunday, we will go to the largest French weekly antique market, Le Marche aux Puces de Saint-Ouen. I will be able to translate and arrange international shipping for you. This vast acreage of European antiques has everything from furniture, dishes, silver, textiles, paintings, and just about anything you can think of.
A very, very special tour will be back stage at the Opera Garnier, privately led by a ballerina with champagne and small bites afterward. We will see where they train, get their physical therapy, and enter the stage. He or she will be able to show you the grueling daily schedule to which you must be committed to be a top dancer in this prestigious troupe and answer any questions you may have. Please join us and discover why Paris is considered the most beautiful city in the world.
